Read more: LETTING GOIt was Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, at New Hope Church of God in Corbin, Ky., Pastor Paula Farmer preached something she lived through and living through again as she preached a message on LETTING GO from Exodus 2:1-3.
Last Sunday May 3, the church recognized its graduates and Pastor Paula Farmer had two grand children graduating high school and going away to college.
Exodus 2:2 Moses was a beautiful child and special child. Every parent especially mom’s thinks their child hangs the moon. All children are special.
God has His hand on all children because they came from Him. Pharoah had made a law that all male children was to thrown in the Nile River, just like today’s law of murder called abortion.
When mom’s let go of their children they need to trust. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart lean not on your own understand but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.
Moses’s mom prepared an ark made with tears and love and she let the baby go in the Nile River; a river that is filed with snakes and crocodiles, Exodus 3:3. What you release God will capture.
God has people watching out for your children you do not know about. God raises friends among the enemies. Pharoah’s daughter went down to the Nile to bath. She saw the small boat when her maids got the boat the child let big cry out.
Moses’s mom’s sister was watching to see what would happen. His mom got to raise Moses. She got paid by Pharoah’s daughter to train him up in the ways he should go Proverbs 22 and when he was older he remembered.
God catches what mom’s and parents let go and trust. It is hard to trust when you know there was more you could have done. God does not over ride our will and He lets His children make their own choices so should mom’s.
If parents hold to tight it will cripple the children. It is important to instill God’s word in them. When children move out of your house and go off to college they re going somewhere where there foundation can be shaken. Just remember what you release in the river of life God will rescue.
The altars was flooded with people letting go and trusting God will bring you through. It is time to trust God.
