Imagine it is election season and candidates are running for local office in London ad Laurel County, Ky. Who do you choose to represent you? The election is on May 19, 2026 and polls are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“I have served in law enforcement for almost three decades,” Grimes said. “After a lot of prayer I decided to run for sheriff.“
When there is good leadership by the police department people will want to come to your county and visit the county.
“Ever since December of 2024 when Doug Harless was shot and killed by the city police London, Ky has had a bad name,” Grimes said. “We need better leadership in our city.”
Grimes was fired because e decided to run for sheriff. He has never been terminated from a job.
“I feel I can bring better leadership to the sheriff department as I have served as a deputy for almost two decades,” Grimes said.
If we are united we still stand and make our community safe for the next generation and if we are divided we will fail the next generation.
“If elected as sheriff I will focus on schools and I support the DARE program I am also for faith based summer camp programs,” Grimes said.
Our schools aged children are targets for drugs they get addicted early in life. As Sheriff Grimes plans of safeguarding the schools as he has plans on putting school resource officers in schools.
“I am a person of faith and of the utmost character,“ Grimes said. “My faith guides my life and my faith is very important to me so is my family.”
On May 19th it s time to elect Robbie Grimes for Sheriff of Laurel County, Ky., as we need new leadership and he is the right man for the job.
