SERVE AND PROTECT
(London, Ky.)
It is in times like these the words “To Serve and Protect’’ mean something and matter more now than at any other time.
While our schools safety has been compromised across the nation, state, and county the police have stood firm. Their work is never done. Churches are no longer safe and now need to be protected.
Sheriff John root has held church safety classes; churches are no longer safe places and it used to be houses of worship was safe.
Now you have to look and wonder about the person coming in the doors. There are many in churches that carry concealed weapons of course with the proper permit.
Sheriff John Root has done an exemplary job because he keeps our streets clean from drug and human sex traffickers. Our streets and schools remain safe because of his alertness and his watchful eye.
It is not about putting people in jail however if we get to the root of the problem there would be no reason to put people in jail.
Hard work is never completely done, especially in law enforcement. Law enforcement is not an easy job in fact it is hard work. You have to enjoy what you do or it can become a boring job. One person has been more transparent and kept us the public informed of drug busts, traffic issues, and weather conditions; that person is Sheriff John Root.
Sheriff Root has used Facebook and Twitter to kee the pubic informed of arrests, traffic issues, and weather and road conditions.
Sheriff Root gets tips on meth labs, drugs, as well as other issues. Every tip is crucial in getting the bad guys put way; every call is critical because every second counts.
There is one man who should continue to serve the office of sheriff and he has held the office with honesty and integrity. There have been many sheriffs of Laurel County but none who have taken pride in the office like John Root.
Sheriff Root is a Christian and faithful to his wife, church, his job, and to the public. He prays daily for his officers and his protection police have been targeted.
It is the people who do wrong those are the people who are against you. However, you have to keep doing what it is right especially when it is not easy.
Sheriff Root continues to serve the people, fight for the people, and run as and for sheriff of Laurel County, Ky. In May and November we need to re-elect John Root as sheriff and keep crime down. Drug busts have gone up under Sheriff Root more than any other sheriff, however the drug and meth problem is worse it has ever been. If you want the opioid and meth problem to continue to go down we need to re-elect John Root in May and November.
If we re-elect John Root as Sheriff he along with his deputies will continue the work that is never done and that is to serve and protect us.
Sheriff Root along with his deputies do not get enough credit for keeping us safe. The motto is to serve and protect; it is not just a motto it is something he and his deputies live by.
