A ROOM OF PEACE

Imagine going to a place where you can feel peace. If you have a home you should have a room of peace. You can have a place of peace.
New Hope Church of God in Corbin, Ky., has started a new series and the series is called THE UPPER ROOM.
Pastor Paula Farmer preached from John 20:19-22 and her message was peace in the room.
If there was ever a time everyone needs peace it is now. Everyone needs a room of peace.
Everyone can relate to the disciples who was left, because covid had everyone locked in their rooms and could not go out. The same was for the church the church was locked in and had to do everything by livestream.
Fear is paralyzing. Imagine hearing cancer and you are immediately gripped with fear. Pastor Paula’s husband, brother, and mother all died from cancer.
To have peace you have to come to a place of surrender; you can not have control and have peace. Have you ever tried to have peace and have control? Everyone has tried to hold on to control and keep peace; it does not work.
There is blessing in peace. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace because he trusts in you and in the word.
There is indescribable peace. Philippians 2:7 There is a peace that surpasses all understanding. Only God can give peace through the Holy Spirit.
The disciples was in a room after the resurrection. Jesus came in the room and he did not knock. You knew it was Jesus when He came in the room.
Jesus speaks peace because his disciples was afraid. He shows His hand and his side so they would know it was Him.
Jesus suffered so we would not have to be paralyzed by fear. Isaiah 53:5 The chastisement of our peace was upon Him and by His wounds we are healed.
Pastor Paula Farmer planting New Hope Church of God was like walking on water; her husband looked at her and Pastor Mike Addison and said going to need to build bigger. Paula could not see the vision her husband had.
Pastor Mike Farmer was a man who had peace. Everyone should have peace. John 20:21 Jesus says as my father has sent me I am sending you and He gives them power by breathing on them in verse 22 of John 20 saying receive the Holy Spirit.
Everything changes when He is in the room and peace fills the room. You do not have to be paralyzed by fear Jesus gives you peace.
Let Him give you peace; it is time to have a room of peace. The altars was filled as people came to receive peace in their room.
