Imagine going into a fight or a war with one weapon, what weapon would you choose a knife or high powerful gun?
Read more: ONE WEAPONThere are many weapons you can choose to go to war or a fight and win. Have you ever thought prayer could be a weapon to defeat the enemy? Have you ever thought you could defeat the enemy with your tongue? Have you ever thought you could defeat the enemy with worship?
There is a new series New Hope Church of God is in Worship Work and Witnessing from John 12:1-8 and started the series on January 4th with a message on worship and prayer.
There is no wrong way to pray. However you need to know the word to pray effectively and Be yourself. If you have heard Tommy Bates or Paula Farmer pray you will give up before you start. No one can pray like you.
Some people take an empty chair and talk to God like He is sitting in the chair. That is good it lets you know you need to listen.
Muslims pray five times a day to a god who can not answer and to think it is hard to get true fully devoted followers of Jesus to pray to a God who hears and answers.
Before Jesus was crucified He was praying and challenged His disciples to pray for an hour, Pastor Paula Farmer challenged the church to pray for an hour and start with 15 minutes then build up to an hour.
The altar is not a bad place everyone needs to be at an altar. During wars families made altars out of couches and beds and chairs at church.
The tongue can defeat you or bring you victory. The power of life and death is in your tongue. As you speak so it is your words are powerful. Isaiah 54:17 no weapon formed against you will not prosper, it does not say the weapon would not be fashioned.
Worship is a powerful weapon. In 2 Chronicles 20 Elisha told Israel worship and your enemies will be defeated.
As you worship God will war for you, Paula Farmer often says this.
John 12 1-8 we see great worship and sacrifice as Mary anointed Jesus. True worship is costly. As you worship it has a powerful posture, some people are on their knees and some people lay on their face to worship.
Prayer is one piece of the full armor of God in Ephesians chapter six and Jesus gave the model prayer in Matthew 6 and Luke 11.
Choose your weapons wisely because the weapon you choose is powerful
