PROPER EDUCATION IS A CHOICE
(London, Ky.)
How you educate your children is a choice parents make each year. Proper education has always been important. How you have been educated begins in the home and ends in the school system you the parent choose.
On Tuesday night October 15th there was a televised gubernatorial debate on local station WKYT of Lexington, Kentucky. The debate had two main candidates Republican Governor Matt Bevin and Democrat Attorney General Andy Beshear. There is also a third party candidate Libertarian John Hicks, he has not getting much air time and Hicks was not on the debate.
With less than twenty days until election day both candidates are tied at 46% with 7% undecided, according to Mason Dixon poll.
The debate was lively with the moderators telling the crowd to not be so energetic. Several Democratic presidential hopefuls have cam through Kentucky with Attorney General Beshear has not been with the presidential hopefuls although Attorney General promised “Andy Candy” to the people with no way to pay for the ‘’candy.’’
The debate had wide range of topics from life verses murder. Governor Bevin is unapologetic pro-life while Attorney General Beshear supports murder up until the moment of birth and Beshear has two children.
What happens locally has been a sign of things to come nationally. It has always been about keeping your word and not backing down. Attorney General Beshear was up eight points in January, the only poll that has always counted is the night of the election.
Attorney General Beshear values education so much he sends his children to private school, however Governor Bevin has had all nine of his adopted children in the school system public, private and homeschooled education. Congress makes laws not the governor; the governor signs or vetos a law congress passes
Family and education have been issues that have mattered to republicans and not just as something to campaign on like the democrats have used.
The bible teaches unity and Governor Bevin signed a law that our school systems can use the bible to teach from.
Governor Bevin is the only governor in twenty years to not kick the can and face the pension crisis. You can not give what you do not have to give. There has been a crisis in leadership.
The debate had a question about legalizing medical marijuana which should be legalized but not taxed Governor Bevin supports the measure, however Attorney General Beshear feels marijuana should be taxed.
Our children pay the price for drug abuse with true family separation because family member gets incarcerated and can not properly educate their children.
Attorney General Beshear did not fight for Kentucky to receive some of the opioid settlement.
Marijuana is no less than a drug than Loratab or oxycontin. The prisons are filled with people who have drug offenses. Drugs are easily accessible in prison.
There have been who it seems like have forgotten in prisons; there are some people who are not forgotten. One of the unforgotten people is Cora Wilson. She was on drugs for and it has costed her family and her life. Now she is off drugs and a Christian she has not got wrote up the whole time she has been in prison.
Ms. Cora Wilson, has three children and while she has been incarcerated her children has had kids and not had proper parenting or proper education.
While every inmate deserves a second chance in life many people need to prove they deserve it. Wilson has not forgotten this friend and her family has forgotten her.
Not only is Governor Bevin a pro life Governor he also believes in giving people a second chance. During Tuesday Governor Bevin said a person who has drugs on their possession should bee able to get help not get locked up.
For everyone to want “rid of Bevin” voters had another option that was Goforth and Hogan there was 2 other candidates; however Goforth funded his campaign with his own money and went to all 120 counties in the May primary.
However, Kentucky voters gave Governor Bevin a second chance in the May primary to defeat Attorney General and Democrat Andy Beshear two long time rivals and the election will be here in no time. Kentucky does not need a governor who is a murder; if you support abortion you are a murderer. Democrat Andy Beshear supports abortion and what is funny is Beshear has a family including kids. We need a Governor who believes in second chances and some one stands for life and that is Governor Bevin.
If you want to write Governor Matthew Bevin the address is 200 Capital Avenue, suite 100 Frankfort, Ky. 40601.
It is an election year and there are two people deserve a second chance one being Governor Matthew Bevin to keep Kentucky moving in a direction of life and good business sense. The second person who deserves a second chance is Cora Wilson. There are a number of people that deserve a second chance, however if you knew Cora on drugs and now you would see how much she has changed. Cora is unrecognizable now. Cora’s eyes have been opened. It is sad it takes prison to change people and open their eyes. Cora deserves a second chance and to be pardon.
Attorney General Beshear, bragged about being raised poor in Western Kentucky in the debate Tuesday night. He has said his faith guides him; let your faith guide you in November and vote for someone who knows how to run a business, believes in giving second chances, and stands for life and that is Governor Bevin. These two top candidates have been battling each other for four year now one person will serve as the governor for four years come November 5th
