RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE
(London, Ky.) Feb. 1
North Laurel Jaguars was at home and hosted the South Laurel Cardinals. The gymnasium was packed out.
The Cardinals had got the tip, however the Jaguars was the first to score. The Cards lit up from behind the three point line.
At the second quarter the score was (22-20). The Jags was up by two. There was a lot of turn overs by both teams.
It was a game that went back and forth.
In the first half the Jags got into foul trouble in the first half putting the cards in the bonus.
At the half the score was (28-27).
After losing by 11 points on January 4th the Jags were determined to show the cards something.
“We was hungry,” Head Coach Brad Sizemore said. “We had been practicing all week and working for this.”
It looked good for the Jags (59-59) but by missing the three it went in to overtime.
The Jags win in overtime (70-65).
“I am really happy for our kids to get the win against a tough team,” Coach Sizemore said.
Some of the guys who stepped up and made some huge plays are Jake Allan he had 24 points, Henderson the whole team stepped up, Coach Sizemore said.
